Duke is an adorable 2-year-old chocolate Labrador Retriever who would make a great pet for a high-energy family or individual. He’s a boisterous, enthusiastic pup who loves playing tug-of-war, going for long hikes, and standing on his hind legs to give big slobbery kisses. Duke needs a lot of training, but we bet he’ll make a great running buddy for the right partner. Could it be you?

We adopted Meesh from the humane society about a month ago. He's a 14 months old mutt, mainly yellow Lab. He is very sweet, clever and has been responding very well to training. He now knows sit, lie down, stay, go to your bed, and leave the room. He also walks well on a leash with a correcting collar. He loves to get affection from the humans in his family, and he is affectionate in return.

Meesh has been getting long walks every day in addition to his trips to the dog park a few days a week. A dog his age needs to get a reasonable amount of exercise. He is housetrained, and is not destructive, either indoors or in the yard. He doesn't bark much at all.

Meesh is good with other dogs, and likes to play with them at the dog park. He wants to sniff them when he meets any dogs on his walks. He ignores the cats in the neighborhood.

He does get a little too excited around kids (mounting, tried to grab a toy etc.) - the reason why we sadly need to find him a more suitable home. Currently, Meesh lives in the LA area near the Hollywood hills.

Samcro (she goes by Sam) is about 3.5 years old. Sam is a Labrador mix. We do not know what she is mixed with. She is spayed, up to date with all of her vaccinations, and has a microchip. She is also house broken, obeys simple commands (sit, wait, stay), and loves to play fetch with her ball. She does well with children. She plays fetch with our nieces and nephews when they come visit.

I am trying to help my next door neighbor find a home for a dog ASAP - her people moved and left her behind in their apartment with some food and no water. She was found 4 DAYS later by property management. She seems VERY sweet, though she is pretty shy and scared right now (to the point that she shakes when meeting new people) so she'll need a little TLC. Seems like she's still youngish, can go for a walk and is not aggressive with dogs or people when she's out and about, looks a bit underweight but otherwise seems healthy. She's a really pretty color, this pic doesn't do her justice. I've been calling her "Sweet Pea" and "Sweetie Pie" because she has the sweetest face. My neighbor can only foster her for a few days while we try to find a home for her, but after that she'll have to go to the South LA Animal Shelter (which we REALLY don't want for her).
